project history

FY2017

Company: Enjoy learning academy & trade school

Role: Company Founder & CEO

This project began as an entrepreneurial endeavor between myself and a small group of close associates and investors. Having worked for large corporations for several years, we were able to identify a need that was not being adequately addressed by the educational system, and developed a strategy to fill that need. The problem we saw was that, all too often, a company hires a “well-qualified” candidate with the requisite University degree, but soon finds that they are not well-prepared to perform the actual tasks that are needed for their daily workload. This is equally an issue for the company as for the student/entry level worker who may feel like they wasted valuable time and money on an education that failed to prepare them for the real world, or worse – they chose the wrong career path.

The solution was to create curricula for a relatively short & cost-effective training course with a focus on real-world simulations (war rooms, call centers, etc.) and personalized attention, which better equips students for a successful start in their chosen career while simultaneously helping them acquire needed certifications and develop the criteria to decide if they are on the proper career path. The training we provide fills a market gap that is advantageous to both the worker and the company.

Project scope:

Create an academy that will provide real-world work simulations, and preparation for globally accredited certifications such as PMP®/CAPM®, ITIL, CCNA(CCENT1&2), Agile Scrum Master, Security+, and more.
